Who We Are
We are a family dedicated to bringing God’s Word in its entirety to a world hungry for Truth. We have turned our lives over to Him in service to you. Our program, “Time in the Chapel” is designed to present Scripture in a way that is free from religion and politics. Join us as often as you can so together we receive, “…the unity of the faith, the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”(Ephesians 4:13)
For many years we had been searching for a church (much like, I suspect, many of you) that struck the Christ-like balance between a strict adherence to “Thus sayeth the Lord” and lovingly spreading the Good News. At almost every stop along the way, we came away disappointed. Most places either ignored the Word or the Love. Some even ignored them both. To be sure, on that journey we did find one or two places that were wonderful; spiritually uplifting, preaching Grace and Love but somehow even the wonderful places were not completely satisfying. Though it took a while, at one point we realized that God had His own plans for us and in 2009 we formed Chapel Ministries, Inc.
What We Do
We teach. It’s that simple. We teach God’s Word and nothing else. In the very beginning we would set up pop-up classrooms in hotel conference centers. That proved too expensive so we then started renting out space in our local library once a month. John would stand up and present, in a lecture style (but a little more relaxed manner) the ins and outs of Scripture. We would invite the local community to come join us and that all worked out very nicely. We never had the packed-to-capacity crowds like Moody or Spurgeon but we did get to meet a few wonderful souls hungry for the purity of God’s Word. From there we went on local radio (WBCB1490 out of Levittown, PA). That is when we created our flagship program “Time in the Chapel”. We stayed on radio, off and on, for about 4 years. It was a wonderful experience that shaped how we operate to this very day. Following that we switched to a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week web streaming format and that helped us connect with the world. Each Sunday we would “LIVE” stream a new lesson and all of that, too, was a wonderful experience. However, the way the world learns is changing and so must we if we want to continue to share the Glory of Christ with as many people as possible. Therefore, in January 2019, “Time in the Chapel” will transform once again. “Time in the Chapel” will become a podcast that you will be able to subscribe to and download free of charge.
